Canyon Cafe: A Taste of Tex-Mex Delights in Saint Louis

Better than expected experience based on the reviews. Food is abundant and flavorful. Ambience is nice - just outside of Saks - with a peek into Chanel - my ultimate destination. The server was lovely and service was quick. The in house made mint was a nice touch at the end of the meal... and the margarita was EXCELLENT - as suggested!! I will definitely go here again - and bring more friends!

Don’t skip the chips! I can’t imagine anyone can get to the 2nd “limit 2” margarita either! Food is consistently good. They have a little outdoor seating but it’s always full when we go. They aren’t as full as they were pre-covid for sure and I know staffing is hard — but everyone we’ve gotten here has been too notch.

1st time visit to Canyon. Had a great meal with a friend on the patio. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I looked at menu online prior to visiting and it was not up to date for daily special. Ended up getting their pasta and it was delightful.

Great food one of the best entrees I've had in a long time . The waitress (Shayna) was extremely helpful and friendly . I was so impressed with her going above and beyond her job duties. I will definitely be asking for her again. The staff was also gracious and friendly walked around multiple times asking about the food. You can really tell they take alot of pride in their food and service. We can't wait to come back and this already became one of our favorite restaurants in St.Louis.

I wanted chicken fajitas but was told they use cilantro in their black beans and rice. I love black beans but not cooked with cilantro. I couldn't eat any of the dishes served I like because of cilantro being in it. I was truly disappointed. I ended up ordering a cheese bacon burger on an over size cheddar cheese bun. The burger was delicious being cooked on a charcoal grilled, but not what I usually order at a Mexican restaurant. The other guests at my table enjoyed their Mexican style foods.

Really sad to hear about this restaurant closing!! I just recently tried it for the first time. The margaritas were fantastic!! I only went for drinks when I visited, so I can't say much about the food. Server was very friendly and attentive. I loved the decor of the restaurant.

I haven't been here in YEARS but had to visit before they finally closed. The food tonight was just as great as I could remember. Service was slower today but worth the wait. We arrived around 345pm and waited 30 minutes for our table. Our server Michael was very professional and my salmon Caesar salad was great as well. Thanks!

Good food and Excellent service from our server, Terry! We started with drinks and Terry recommended the skinny margaritas because it’s not made with the sour mix. My girlfriend doesn’t like ice in her drink so Terry said that’s shaken, no ice. Terry was spot on with both margaritas. Margaritas were smooth and tasty. Then we shared the chicken fajitas. The chicken was tender and the fixings were fresh. The chicken needed more garlic and onion seasoning. I would have liked a little more bell peppers with the meal.
